28 May Floral Prints for Not Perfect Linen’s Summer Collection – A New Collaboration
Reading time: 5 minutes
After the warmth and richness of our autumn debut, I’m so happy to share the second chapter of my creative partnership with Not Perfect Linen: a light and summery floral print, designed exclusively for Not Perfect Linen’s Summer 2025 collection.
This season, the team at NPL turned to their breezy lightweight linen—a fabric that moves effortlessly with the body and breathes with summer’s breeze. My contribution: five color variations of a single hand-painted floral print, crafted to capture softness, subtle joy, and the quiet rhythm of slow summer days.

New Season, New Feeling
While the first collection leaned into winter’s depth—with classic hues and a grounded, intimate mood—this new offering embraces lightness in every sense. Think creamy lilacs, misty blues, soft oranges, and pastel tones that evoke morning skies and blooming gardens.
Rather than creating multiple floral motifs, we followed a more playful spirit this season, exploring one core pattern through five distinct palettes—including two delicate monochrome versions. Each variation invites a slightly different mood—showing how color alone can gently shift the atmosphere of a piece.
Great care was given to each brushstroke during the painting process, so the softness and character of the flowers and leaf shapes remain visible—even in the most minimal colorways. Printed on linen, the pattern sits lightly on the fabric, adding a feminine and timeless touch while enhancing its organic, airy feel.
Color stories - an invitation to creative expression
This hand-painted floral design was created to pair effortlessly with Not Perfect Linen’s signature solid fabrics, encouraging layering, color play, and personal expression. From soft neutrals to gentle hues, each palette invites individuality while honoring the comfort and creativity at the heart of slow fashion.
The colorways unfold their own quiet stories: Antique Lace recalls the softness of aged botanical prints; Rustic Bloom evokes the warmth of countryside nostalgia; the Monochromes offer a quiet, romantic whisper; while Dusky Florals brings an ethereal lightness—like sunlight through lace curtains.

Designed for Custom Living
One of the most beautiful aspects of working with Not Perfect Linen is seeing how people make the pieces their own. NPL offers thoughtful customizations on each order—altering hems, sleeves, or fit—which means every garment becomes a small collaboration between maker and wearer.
It has been a joy to watch this floral print woven into daily life: shared in snapshots of sunlit mornings, slow travels, outdoor lunches, and quiet afternoons. Some customers layered the prints with solids; others chose bold pairings or subtle tonal mixes. The photos told stories of individuality, creativity, and ease.
I’m always deeply grateful to the Not Perfect Linen team for their care in bringing these florals to life. It’s such a joy to collaborate with people who share a commitment to intentional making, natural fibers, and thoughtful design.
Equally meaningful is witnessing these floral prints take on a second life—woven into daily moments, shared in photographs and quiet reels, and carried into new memories around the world. That, more than anything, is what makes the creative process feel complete.
